A fire has destroyed Laurieton Seafoods

Firefighters were unable to save the building

At about 8pm on Wednesday emergency services were called to Mill Street, Laurieton, following reports of a fire.

Crew members from local NSW Fire and Rescue and Rural Fire Service (RFS) attended and managed to extinguish the blaze, however, the building was destroyed.

A spokesperson for NSW RFS said the structure was “fully involved” upon arrival. The fire was contained to the one structure and did not impact other buildings. Firefighting operations ceased around 10.45pm on Wednesday, January 15.

The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire and there were no reports of injuries.

A crime scene was established as police attached to Mid North Coast Police District commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
