Friday 10 January
In need of a good belly laugh to end the work-week? Lucky for you, stand-up comedian Akmal is performing his new show “Red Flags” at the South West Rocks Country Club.
Supported by Joel Ozborn, the show kicks off at 8pm sharp. Grab tickets online for $48 + booking fee, or $53 at the door.
Or perhaps you’re wanting to boogie into the weekend? The Golden Gaytimes are playing at the The Station Boardstore in Crescent Head with doors open from 6pm and food served by Streets of Nepal Crescent Head.
Saturday 11 January
A rainy Saturday is a great day to see some art, don’t you think?
‘WAVEFORMS’, an exhibition of paintings by Port Macquarie artist Sebastian Perri, is showing at South West Rocks Community Art Gallery. His work is inspired by skateboarding and surfing.
Nulla Nulla Regional Art Gallery at the Slim Dusty Centre has a powerful photo series on display by Tace Stevens. ‘We Were Just Little Boys’ showcases stories of survivors of the Kinchela Aboriginal Boys’ Training Home.
Sunday 12 January
Does your perfect Sunday Session look like live music at a local pub? Head to any of these venues for an afternoon of tunes, booze and food.
Pam Hata is playing from 2-5pm at the Seabreeze Beach Hotel, South West Rocks.
The Redeemed, an indie band from Bellingen, are on from 3pm at The Heritage Hotel of Gladstone.
Or head to Crescent Head Tavern to listen to Max Marvell from 4pm.
