From all-ages festivals to tour stops and Aussie icons, here's everything you need to know about live music on the Mid North Coast throughout the month of April.

The Mid North Coast doesn’t just have beautiful coastline and stunning bushland, the region is a hot spot for touring artists and a breeding ground for local talent.
Every month we create a list of live music events from across the region, of all genres and for all-ages.
April’s edition includes two family-friendly festivals, a live orchestra performance at farm, a jazz and lasagne night, ARIA-award winning artists on tour and more.
From weekend night gigs to Sunday sessions, here’s everything you need to know in consecutive order, starting with the upcoming weekend.

🟡 The Waifs
Folk band The Waifs are stopping off in Coffs Harbour on their Australian Regional Tour. The Multi-ARIA Award winners have released eight EPs from 1996 to 2017 including two live albums.

🟡 River Sounds Festival
River Sounds Festival is a one day all-ages music event with a line up including K.I.M (The Presets), K.Dizzy and local artists such as Lttle Kng and The Versace Boys.

🟡 Summer Salt Festival
Summer Salt will see Aussie icons Missy Higgins, John Butler and The Whitlams take the stage, among others. The all-ages event is stopping off on the Mid North Coast for one day only.

🟡 Jazz and Lasagne
Jazz and Lasagne is back for its fifth session of a live performance by trumpeter Harry James Angus and his band.
As described on the Archive Mid North Coast website the hall will be transformed into a “swampy, Lousiana-style juke joint” with lasagne served by chef James Ellis.

🟡 Elias Alexander
Artists Elias Alexander will be joined by special guest Saije. Expect to see live looping and electronics with an array of instruments from bagpipes, fiddle, guitar and more.
His music is described on TryBooking website as "fiery dance tunes from the Scottish, Irish, and American traditions in conversation with dance productions influenced by disco, house, and lo-fi hip hop.”

🟡 Live at the Farm
The Kinfolk Orchestra is back for another Live at the Farm event to be hosted at Eungai Creek Buffalo Farm.
Join for a Sunday session of folk music combined with Jazz for a family-friendly day out.

🟡 C.W Stoneking
Blues artists C.W. Stoneking will be joined by a three piece band and special guest, local artist Joey Leigh Wagtail for a live performance at the old theatre in Bowraville.

🟡The Rubens
Spend Easter Sunday with alternative rock five-piece band The Rubens when they stop off at Finnian’s on their Roll Away Tour – following the release of their newest album SODA.
✨ The Rubens are also performing on Friday 18 at the Jetty Beach House in Coffs Harbour.
